I know how new experiences are slightly awkward, at first. Many of you have had questions about the exercises in the week one workbook. I am delighted to answer any and all questions via. e-mail, but I also wanted everyone to know that the blog is an even better medium than e-mail for many questions.
People are sometimes relieved to know that others have questions and it helps reassure them that they are not alone in their confusion. There are no bad questions...so ask away!!!

I took the survey and I'm pretty sure I may have taken it before. Once I finished and got my 5 personality traits, it was interesting...it felt right. It felt like what they got from my answers were truly me. I was unable to save or print it no matter what I tried, that was my only disappointment after all that I have no results to look back on. How do we use this to produce results or ideas that will generate change? Then I'd probably have to take the survey again?
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you on board! My experience with the VIA Survey is that you can go back and login and it has saved your 5 strengths and virtues.
ReplyDeleteI just went there and logged in with my e-mail and password and it had my previous report. But I think they wanted $$ to see it, so I took it again. Here were my strengths!!
1) Creativity, ingenuity, and originality
2) Capacity to Love and be Loved
3) Leadership
4) Love of learning
5) Curiosity and interest in the world
Not bad!!! I feel empowered and encouraged that I am leveraging my strengths.
What were yours?
As someone who is very progress oriented I wonder if this measures a static trait or a situational state. If it is a state, then it is soemthing that should be changed by the mental pilates process which is pretty cool. It makes me want to record my strengths and then retake it in about 6 months. If it is a trait that is also cool because it adds some credo to the core identity phenomena. If these things are really parts of our cores than they should be immutable.
ReplyDeleteSo what do people think; state or trait? How does your answer influence your practice?
